任意指定の改行

おそらく絶対使わないだろう機能ですので時間に余裕がない方や気持ちに余裕がない方の閲覧はお勧めいたしません。

日本語はどこで改行されても意味は通じますので禁則処理以外は単語の途中であろうと、助詞であろうと行末に来れば改行されます。

ところが英語の様に単語の途中で行末になった場合は単語自体が次の行に送られたり単語にハイフンが挿入されたりして改行していい場所で単語が区切られたりします。単語をハイフンで強制改行　ハイフネーション

ハイフンを使わない場合は任意指定の改行を使うことで行末をコントロールすることができます。

これ以上のことはよくわかりません。このような機能を持つものをワードでは、任意指定の改行と呼んでいるようです。

ただ挿入方法がわかりません。

200c+alt+x

で任意指定の改行を挿入することが可能です。ほかにも任意指定の改行を挿入する方法があるのでしょうか？

任意指定の改行ですので挿入位置で改行されるわけではありません。本来行末で改行されてはいけないのだけれども行末に来た時は任意指定の改行位置で改行することを許すというようなものと思われます。

    「任意指定の改行」は、ワードのメニューの［挿入］［記号と特殊文字］［その他の記号］で開くダイアログの中の［特殊文字］タブの中にある［文字］欄の「任意指定の改行」をクリックすると入力できます。
    すぐ下にある「改行なし」の記号は内側の四角が塗りつぶされた感じになります。
    こちらはまだ実際に使われているのを見たことがありません。
